Hashi, whose name literally means "chopsticks" in Japanese, is a modular sofa collection inspired by the simplicity and precision of the traditional oriental utensil. Its design is based on a minimal yet sturdy structural system, reflecting the clean lines and balanced proportions that define the collection. Each module is designed for exceptional comfort, featuring seat cushions in variable-density polyurethane foam and polyester fibres, wrapped in outdoor polyester canvas with a breathable, non-slip base. The supporting base and backrest frames are crafted from steel treated specifically for outdoor use, ensuring durability in exterior environments. A defining characteristic of Hashi is the use of Accardi Outdoor Jacquard technical fabric, which elegantly envelops the iroko wood elements at both the base and the upper structure. Sustainably produced, lightweight, waterproof, and meticulously woven by skilled artisans, the Accardi Outdoor fabric creates a rich textured surface that blends seamlessly with the irregular cross-section of the wooden frame, reinforcing the collection's connection to Japanese aesthetics and traditional craftsmanship.
